The RC32614A000GBB synchronizer generates ultra-low jitter precise timing signals based on the IEEE 1588 Precise Time Protocol (PTP) and Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE). The RC32614A000GBB can be used as a single timing and synchronization source for the system, or two devices can be used as redundant pairs to enhance system reliability.

The DCO can be controlled by external IEEE 1588 software to synthesize a Precision Time Protocol (PTP)/IEEE 1588 clock with a frequency resolution of less than 1.11x10-16
The combined bus simplifies the standard program that conforms to ITU-T G.8273.2
Precise (1ps) resolution for phase measurement and control
All outputs/inputs can be configured for decoding/encoding of PWM clock signals
PWM can be used to send and receive embedded frame pulses and synchronization pulses, as well as daily time (ToD) and other data
This device requires a crystal oscillator or fundamental mode crystal: 25MHz to 54MHz
The optional XO_DPLL input allows for a wider range of XO, TCXO or OCXO frequencies (1MHz to 150MHz), making it suitable for applications that require a highly stable local oscillator.
The serial processor port supports 1MHz I2C or 50MHz SPI
In addition, the RC32614A000GBB can be used to actively measure and compensate for clock propagation delays across backplanes and circuit boards, ensuring that time and phase are accurately allocated between IEEE 1588 timestamp units (TSUs) in the system with minimal time error. This device supports multiple independent channels for controlling IEEE 1588 clock synthesis, SyncE clock generation, jitter attenuation and general frequency conversion.
