The AFE4410YZR is a low power integrated FIFO AFE for optical heart rate monitoring and biosensing in wearable devices. It supports up to four switchable light emitting diodes (leds) and three photodiodes (PDS). This AFE also features a fully integrated LED driver with 8-bit current control. The AFE4410YZR features a high dynamic range transceiver circuit, capable of providing a dynamic range of up to 100dB, thereby precisely sensing heart rate. This AFE achieves extremely low current levels by operating in ultra-low Power (ULP) mode (set by using the ENABLE_ULP register bit).

The AFE4410YZR mainly has the following features:

The typical low current used for continuous operation on wearable devices is: 30µA for leds and 25µA for receivers

Flexible pulse sorting and timing control
