The LM27402SQ is a voltage mode synchronous DC/DC buck controller with lossless inductor DCR current sensing. Sensing inductor current eliminates the need for additional resistive power transfer system components, which improves overall efficiency and facilitates accurate current sensing on a continuous basis, while a 0.6V ±1% voltage reference ensures high accuracy and low-voltage characteristics at the output.The LM27402 has an input operating voltage range of 3V to 20V, and is suitable for use with a wide range of input supply rails.

The LM27402SQ voltage-mode control loop incorporates input voltage feedforward to maintain stability over the entire input voltage range. The switching frequency is adjustable from 200kHz to 1.2MHz. Dual high-current integrated MOSFET drivers support large QG, low RDS(on) power consumption MOSFETs, and a power up indicator provides power rail sequencing and output fault detection. An adjustable external soft-start limits inrush current and provides monotonic output control during startup. Additional features include external tracking of other supplies, integrated LDO bias supply, and synchronisation.
