The BQ7965x-Q1 family of devices provides high precision battery voltage measurements, from a minimum of 6S to a maximum of 12S (BQ79652-Q1), 14S (BQ79654-Q1), or 16S (BQ79656-Q1) battery modules, up to 200µs, while also supporting shunt resistance current sensing measurements. The integrated front-end filter enables the system to implement simple, low-voltage differential RC filters on the cell input channel. The integrated post-ADC low-pass filter can realize the DC-like voltage measurement after filtering. The family of devices also supports integrated current sensing that synchronizes with battery voltage measurements to better calculate state of charge (SOC). The device supports autonomous internal battery balance and temperature monitoring, and automatically pauses and restores balance to avoid overtemperature conditions.
