Product Description

The TMS5701227CPGEQQ1 16/32-bit RISC Flash microcontrollers (MCUs) are a family of high-performance automotive-grade microcontrollers for safety systems. It features a safety architecture that includes dual CPUs in lockstep, CPU and memory built-in self-test (BIST) logic, ECC on Flash and data SRAM, parity on peripheral memories, and loop functions on peripheral I/O. The TMS570LS1227 device integrates an ARM Cortex-R4F floating-point CPU and has a configuration that can run up to 180MHz providing up to 298 DMIPS. The device supports word invariant high priority [BE32] format.


The TMS5701227CPGEQQ1 features 1.25MB of integrated Flash and 192KB of data RAM with single-bit error correction and double-bit error detection. The device's flash memory is a non-volatile, electrically erasable programmable memory. It is implemented through a 64-bit wide data bus interface. For all read, program, and erase operations, the flash operates at a 3.3V supply input (the same level as the I/O supply). In pipeline mode, the Flash memory is clocked at a system frequency of up to 180 MHz. the SRAM supports single-cycle read and write accesses in single-byte, half-word, single-word, and double-word modes over the full range of supported frequencies.


The TMS5701227CPGEQQ1 features peripherals for real-time control applications, including two Next Generation High-End Timer (N2 HET) timing co-processors, up to 44 I/O terminals, seven Enhanced Quadrature Encoder Pulse (ePWM) modules with up to 14 outputs, six Enhanced Capture (eCAP) modules, two Enhanced Quadrature Encoder Pulse ( eQEP) modules, and two 12-bit analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs) supporting up to 24 inputs.


With integrated safety features and a variety of communication and control peripherals, the Texas Instruments TMS5701227CPGEQQ1 is an ideal solution for high-performance real-time control applications with safety-critical requirements.
