Product Description

The UCC28056CDBVR is a PFC controller. The controller can directly drive up to 300W of output power while ensuring low sinusoidal line input current distortion and near 1 power factor. The device includes burst mode operation to further improve light load performance, allowing systems to comply with challenging energy efficiency standards without having to turn off the PFC. The UCC28056CDBVR can drive PFC power stages up to 300W, ensuring low sinusoidal line input current distortion and near 1 power factor while keeping the PFC ‘always on’. always on’. When used with the LLC controller UCC28056CDBVR, the 6-pin device eliminates the need for an auxiliary flyback converter, which is often required in systems to achieve good standby performance, while achieving a power consumption of less than 80mW at 230Vac. The device also enables instant-on while minimising the number of external components.
