The ADSP-21488BSWZ-3B is a high-performance fourth-generation SHARC processor. It comes in a LQFP package with a maximum performance of 350 MHz and is particularly suited to the needs of the automotive audio and industrial control sectors .
In addition to powerful kernel performance, the ADSP-21488BSWZ-3B includes additional processing modules such as FIR, IIR, and FFT accelerators to further improve the overall performance of the system. The ADSP-21488BSWZ-3B processor has a new feature called Variable Instruction Set Architecture (VISA) that enables code reduction of 20 to 30 percent and increases memory size availability. Fourth-generation DSPS can connect to external memory by providing a seamless interface for 16-bit wide SDR SDRAM.
