The ADSP-21261SKSTZ150 is the latest member of the third generation SHARC® programmable digital signal processor family. Cost-sensitive applications such as voice recognition, medical devices, measuring equipment, high-quality audio and automotive entertainment systems benefit from the ADSP-21261SKSTZ150's integrated large-capacity on-chip memory and a wide range of peripheral interfaces.

The ADSP-21261SKSTZ150 is based on the SHARC (SIMD) kernel that supports 32-bit fixed-point operations and 32/40-bit floating-point arithmetic format operations. With a core operating at 150MHz (6.67ns instruction cycles), the ADSP-21261SKSTZ150 processor is capable of performing complex fast Fourier transform (FFT) operations - a 1024-point complex FFT time of 61μs. The processor's Single instruction, Multiple Data (SIMD) mode effectively doubles processor performance.

The ADSP-21261SKSTZ150 processor has the following features:
