The LTM4705IY is a complete dual 5A step-down switching mode μModule® (miniature module) regulator in a small 6.25mm × 7.5mm × 3.22mm BGA package. The package contains the switching controller, power MOSFETs, inductors, and support components.The LTM4705IY operates over an input voltage range of 3.1V to 20V, and it supports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5.5V, which is set by an external resistor. Its high-efficiency design provides dual 5 A continuous output currents. Only a few ceramic input and output capacitors are required.
The LTM4705IY supports selectable burst operation mode and output voltage tracking for supply rail timing. Its high switching frequency and current mode control provide ultra-fast transient response to line and load changes without sacrificing stability.
Fault protection features include input overvoltage, output overcurrent and overtemperature protection.
The LTM4705IY features RoHS compliant terminal surfaces.
