The LT8333RDD is a current-mode DC/DC converter with an integrated 40V, 3A switch that operates over a 2.8V to 40V input range. It has a single feedback pin architecture and is capable of boost, SEPIC or inverting configurations. At low output currents, the burst operating mode consumes as low as 9µA quiescent current to maintain high efficiency while keeping typical output ripple below 15mV.

An external compensation pin allows the loop bandwidth to be optimised over a wide input and output voltage range and a programmable switching frequency range of 300kHz to 2MHz. The SYNC/MODE pin allows synchronisation with an external clock. It can also be used to select between burst or pulse-hop operating modes with a spread spectrum function for low EMI. To improve efficiency, the BIAS pin can accept a second input to power the INTVCC regulator. Other features include frequency foldback and programmable soft-start to control inductor current during start-up.

The LT8333RDD is available in a thermal enhanced 10-pin 3mm × 3mm DFN package.
