Marvell® Alaska® X 88X3310 (88X3310-A1-Bus4C000) is a new Ethernet transceiver that is fully compliant with the IEEE 10GBASE-T standard and the NBASE-T Consortium specification. 2.5G and 5G operation via Cat5e cable. The Marvell Alaska X 88X3310/40P is manufactured using 28nm lithography to enable low-cost, low-power 1G/2.5G/5G/10Gbps Ethernet designs without the need for special optical modules in mainstream applications.

The device family uses digital signal processing (DSP) technology to enable low-cost Ethernet cables with data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps, replacing optical technology for applications such as 802.11ac access point backhauling, data center switches, storage units containing Ethernet Fibre Channel (FCoE) connections, servers, and enterprise switching platforms.
