Infineon's new OptiMOS™5 150 V power MOSFET - IPP051N15N5 is particularly suitable for low-voltage drives such as forklift trucks and electric pedelecs, as well as for communication and solar applications. The new product breaks new ground in reducing R DS(on) (up to 25% compared to the next ideal alternative in SuperSO8) and Q rr without impacting FOM gd and FOM OSS, effectively reducing design effort while optimising system efficiency. In addition, the ultra-low reverse recovery charge (Q rr = 26 nC in SuperSO8) improves commutation robustness.
