The TPS92691QPWPRQ1 is a general purpose LED controller that supports a range of boost or buck driver topologies. The device implements fixed frequency peak current mode control technology, programmable switching frequency, ramp compensation and soft start timing. A high voltage (65V) rail-to-rail current sense amplifier is incorporated, allowing direct measurement of LED current using either high-side or low-side series sense resistors. The amplifier can be used to achieve low input offset voltages and better than ±3% LED current accuracy over the 25°C to 140°C junction temperature range and 0 to 60V output common mode voltage range.
