The LTC4381ADKE-4 low quiescent current electronic fuse is an integrated solution featuring an internal 9m Ω N-channel MOSFET. Overvoltage protection is provided by clamping the gate voltage of the internal 9m Ω N-channel MOSFET to limit the output voltage to a safe value during an overvoltage event, such as a sudden drop in automotive loads. The safe operating region of the MOSFET has been tested in production to ensure that it can withstand high voltage transients. The MOSFET safe operating area has been production tested to ensure that it can withstand high-voltage transient stresses.
