The MIC5205YM5-TR is a highly efficient linear voltage regulator with an ultra-low noise output, very low dropout voltage (typically 17 mV at light load, 165 mV at 150 mA) and very low ground current (600 µA at 100 mA output.) The MIC5205 offers better than 1% initial accuracy.

The MIC5205YM5-TR is especially designed for handheld, battery-powered devices and includes a CMOS or TTL compatible enable/shutdown control input. Power consumption drops to virtually zero when switched off. The regulator ground current increases only slightly when power is dropped, further extending battery life.

Key features of the MIC5205YM5-TR include a reference bypass pin to improve its already excellent low noise performance, reverse battery protection, current limiting and over-temperature shutdown.

The MIC5205YM5-TR is available in fixed and adjustable output voltage versions in a small SOT-23-5 package.
