The VSC7425XJG-02 is the industry's first fully integrated 18-port Gigabit Ethernet (GE) switch with 12 copper PHYs in a single package, which, when combined with the 4-port PHY VSC8514, allows the design of 18-port switches with only two ICs. VSC7425 features new 65nm SimpliPHY technology, making it one of the most cost-effective and lowest power devices in the industry. The dual-chip solution combines state-of-the-art IEEE 802.3az energy-efficient Ethernet functionality to bring green technology solutions to market, and the VSC7425 offers rich small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) Ethernet switching functionality, such as Layer 2 forwarding and advanced TCAM-based VLAN and QoS processing, enabling differentiated service offerings.
