Description:

The MCP22301T-2I/KYX USB PD controller is designed to comply with the USB Type-C cable and Connector specification and the USB PD 3.1 specification. These independent small controllers enable cable plug positioning and detection of USB Type-C sockets. The MCP22301 PD controller enables baseband communication with partner USB Type-C devices through an integrated USB PD 3.1 MAC.

The controller integrates analog discrete components required for USB Type-C PD applications, including a voltage/current detection circuit for overcurrent/overvoltage detection and two VCONN field-effect transistors (FETs) with Rp/Rd switching capability.
