The IWRL1432BDBAAMF is an integrated single-chip millimeter wave sensor based on FMCW radar technology. The device is capable of operating in the 76GHz to 81GHz band and is divided into four main power domains:
Rf/Analog subsystem: This block contains all the RF and analog components needed to send and receive RF signals.
Front-end Controller Subsystem (FECSS) : FECSS contains the processor responsible for radar front-end configuration, control, and calibration.
Application Subsystem (APPSS) : In APPSS, the device implements a user-programmable ARM Cortex M4 that allows custom control and automotive interface applications. The Top Subsystem (TOPSS) is part of the APPSS power domain and contains clock and power management subblocks.
Hardware Accelerator (HWA) : The HWA block complements the APPSS by offloading common radar processing such as FFT, constant false alarm rate (CFAR), scaling, and compression.
