The Amphenol CFP2 series is a 104-bit, 0.6 mm pitch connector compliant with the 100 Gb/s form-factor pluggable (CFP) multi-source protocol for Ethernet and other applications. Suitable for systems with hundreds of Gb/s, it includes in-mold injection-molded assemblies for the top contacts and crimp-on shield cage assemblies. rated at 25 Gb/s per channel, the CFP2 features a resonance-damped design that improves signal integrity and reduces power consumption by as much as 60 percent compared to CFP. With an optional cross-load heat sink for effective heat dissipation, the CFP2 package is compatible with products from other industry vendors, including IEEE and ITU-T applications.
