The STA9100MGAS is a measurement engine positioning receiver IC capable of managing all GNSS constellations such as GPS, Galilelo, Glonass, Beidou, IRNSS and QZSS.
The STA9100MGA provides the host with accurate raw measurements of all visible GNSS satellites via a serial interface, allowing it to run any possible precision positioning algorithms. The Teseo application also integrates a secure microcontroller for secure system startup and data output authentication to protect sensitive data from attacks. The STA9100MGA provides standard precision positioning calculations to the host using all satellite constellations.
The STA9100MGA is designed to meet the most stringent automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) to support fully autonomous driving type applications. For this purpose, the dedicated interface allows GNSS data to be received from the external RF front-end STA5635S to manage other GNSS bands (L2, L5, E6) simultaneously with the L1-band signal.
The chip is manufactured using ST CMOS040nm technology in a 0.8mm pitch 81-TFBGA package.
