The TMS320C5533AZAYA10 fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP) is designed for low-power applications and is based on the TMS320C55x DSPC55x DSP generation CPU processor core.
Fixed-point DSPs are based on the TMS320C55x DSP family of CPU processor cores. The C55x DSP architecture achieves high performance and low power consumption through increased parallelism and a focus on energy efficiency. The CPU supports an internal bus structure consisting of a programme bus, a 32-bit read bus and two 16-bit data read buses, two data write buses and additional buses dedicated to peripherals and DMA operations. These buses can perform up to four 16-bit data reads and two 16-bit data writes in a single cycle. The device also contains four DMA controllers, each with four channels, providing data movement in a 16-channel independent environment without CPU intervention. Each DMA controller performs one 32-bit data transfer per cycle in parallel with and independent of CPU operation.
