The QCA-8081-0-56MQFN-TR-02-0 is a single-port, four-rate (10M/100M/1G/2.5G) Ethernet PHY transceiver.

QCA-8081-0-56MQFN-TR-02-0 provides physical layer functionality to transmit and receive data over standard Class 5 (Cat5) or Class 6 (Cat6) unshielded twisted pair cables. The QCA8081 includes a SerDes that can be connected to the MAC as 1.25G SGMII or 3.125G SGMII+.

10BASE-Te: Uses reduced emission amplitude

100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T: Low Power Idle (LPI) modes turn off unused analog and digital blocks to save power when data traffic is idle. In addition, the Network Wake Up (WoL) function manages and adjusts total system power requirements. The QCA8081 supports IEEE 1588 V2 and synchronous Ethernet, providing a complete time synchronization solution.

Clock synchronization between the slave station and the master station is realized by exchanging PTP packets. Supports IEEE 1588 V2, provides packet resolver, precise timestamp, and insert capabilities, and supports single - and two-step clock modes.

Supports synchronous Ethernet and provides clock output recovered from data received on the network line side. The QCA8081 supports MACsec as defined by IEEE 802.1AE and provides hop-by-hop link-layer security based on symmetric key AES-GCM encryption and authentication.
