Product Description

The SimpleLink™ CC1314R106T0RGZR device is a low-power Sub-1GHz wireless microcontroller (MCU) for applications requiring enhanced security, on-chip wireless update capabilities, and support for advanced applications or large wireless protocols. It supports IEEE 802.15.4, IPv6-enabled Smart Objects (6LoWPAN), wireless M-Bus, Wi-SUN, Amazon Sidewalk, mioty, and proprietary systems including the TI 15.4-Stack for Sub-1GHz. The device is optimised for low-power wireless communications and advanced detection in the building security systems, HVAC, smart metering, medical, wired networking, gateway and grid communications, home theatre and entertainment, and connected peripherals markets.


Salient features of the device include:

- Support for secure key storage, device ID and trusted functions based on Arm TrustZone.

- Flexible Sub-1GHz radio with industry common band support (315MHz, 433MHz, 868MHz, 915MHz, etc.) to meet industrial requirements.

- Extremely flexible protocol stack support is available in the SimpleLink LOWPOWER F2 Software Development Kit (SDK), including Wi-SUN, Amazon Sidewalk, and SimpleLink™ 15.4-Stack (Sub-1GHz).

- For Sub-1GHz, the maximum transmit power is +14dBm (25.8mA current consumption).

- Low standby current of 0.98µA (full SRAM retention) to extend battery life in wireless applications.

- Supports industrial temperatures with a minimum standby current of approximately 13µA at 105⁰C (full SRAM retention).

- Advanced sensing via a programmable, autonomous, ultra-low power sensor controller CPU with fast wake-up capabilities. For example, the sensor controller is capable of 1Hz ADC sampling at a system current of 1.2µA.

- Low Soft Error Rate (SER) Fault-in-Time (FIT) extends operational life without disrupting the industrial market, and SRAM parity is always on to prevent damage from potential radiation events.

- A dedicated software-controlled radio controller (Arm Cortex-M0) provides flexible, low-power RF transceiver functionality that supports multiple physical layers and RF standards.

- Excellent radio sensitivity (-121dBm) and robustness (selective and blocking) performance for SimpleLink™ long-range mode.


The CC1314R10 device is part of the SimpleLink™ MCU platform, which includes Wi-Fi, low-power Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee, Sub-1GHz MCUs, and host MCUs that share a common, easy-to-use development environment with a single-core software development kit (SDK) and a rich toolset. With the one-time integration of the SimpleLink™ platform, users can add any combination of devices from the portfolio to their own designs, enabling full code reuse when design requirements change.
