The F1978NCGK8 digital step attenuator (DSA) is part of IDT's Glitch-FreeTM DSA family, optimised for the demanding requirements of CATV and satellite systems. Operating over the 5MHz to 3000MHz frequency range, the device features a compact 4mm x 4mm, 20-pin thin QFN package with 75Ω impedance for easy integration.

The RF performance of the F1978 DSA is identical to that of the F1975 digital step attenuator.The difference between the F1978 and the F1975 is that the F1978 has an additional programming mode called Direct Serial Programming.
