The ICC80QSG is a PWM controller for flyback topology and valley switch DCM operating in quasi-resonant mode, enabling efficient power transfer over a wide operating range. The IC provides a wide power range and comprehensive protection for battery charging applications. The IC is easy to design and requires a minimal number of external components. Gate driver currents can be rationally designed up to 130 W with state-of-the-art MOSFETs.
