The TPS25831QWRHBRQ1 USB Type-C and BC1.2 Charge port controllers include a synchronous DC/DC converter. With cable voltage drop compensation, the VBUS voltage remains constant regardless of the load current. This feature ensures that connected portable devices are charged at optimal current and voltage. Synchronous step-down regulators are controlled by current mode and are internally compensated to simplify the design. The resistance on the RT pin sets the switching frequency between 300kHz and 2.2MHz.
