The MAX20012BATJH/VY automotive buck controllers have an input voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V and an output voltage range of 0.5 V to 1.5875 V. The dual-channel controllers support load currents up to 12 A per phase. Channel 1 has a two-phase operation option for higher load currents, making it ideal for automotive point-of-load (Pol) and post regulator applications. Output error of ±2% is achieved over the full load, line, and temperature ranges. The ICs feature a 2.2MHz fixed-frequency PWM mode for better noise immunity and load transient response, and a pulse-frequency modulation mode (hopping) for improved efficiency in light-load operation.
