The BTN8962TAAUMA1 is an integrated high current half-bridge for motor drive applications. It belongs to the Novalithic™ family and contains a P-channel high-side MOSFET and an N-channel low-side MOSFET as well as an integrated driver IC in a single package. The use of a P-channel high-side switch eliminates the need for a charge pump and minimizes EMI. The integrated driver IC has logic level input, current detection and diagnosis, voltage swing rate adjustment, dead zone generation, overtemperature, undervoltage, overcurrent and short circuit protection, and can easily interface with the microcontroller.
