The LTC2944IDD measures battery charging status, battery voltage, battery current and its own temperature in portable product applications. The device has a wide input voltage range, so it can be used with multiple batteries up to 60V. A precise coulombmeter is responsible for integrating the current flowing through a detecting resistor located between the positive terminal of the battery and the load or charger. Battery voltage, current, and temperature are measured using an internal 14-bit No Latency Delta Sigma ™ ADC. The measurement results are stored in internal registers that can be accessed via the built-in I2C/SMBus interface.
