The ISL9241HRTZ is a digitally configurable step-boost battery charger that supports narrow-voltage direct charging (NVDC) and mixed-power Step-boost (HPBB/Bypass) charging and uses firmware control to switch between modes. Firmware using the controller also supports bypass mode, which allows the adapter to supply power directly to the system. ISL9241 uses NFET only to provide charging, system bus conditioning and protection for tablet, ultrabooks and laptop platforms. Advanced Renesas R3™ technology provides a lightweight and efficient charging mode.
