The LTC3895HFE is a high performance, step-down switching regulator DC/DC controller to drive a full N-channel synchronous power MOSFET stage that can operate with input voltages up to 140V. The device utilises a constant frequency current mode architecture to provide a phase lockable frequency up to 850kHz.

The gate drive voltage can be set from 5V to 10V, allowing the use of logic or standard level FETs to maximise efficiency. An integrated switch in the upper gate driver eliminates the need for an external bootstrap diode. An internal charge pump allows 100% duty cycle operation.

A low 40µA no-load quiescent current extends operating life in battery-powered systems, and the use of OPTI-LOOP® compensation allows optimisation of transient response over a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values. the LTC3895HFE features an accurate 0.8V reference and a power-good output indicator. The device's output voltage can be set from 0.8V to 60V using external resistors, or programmed via pins to provide a fixed 5V or 3.3V.
