The LTC7841EUHE synchronous boost controller drives two N-channel power MOSFET stages in heterodyne. Multi-phase operation reduces input and output capacitor requirements and allows the use of smaller inductors than single-phase equivalents. Synchronous rectification improves efficiency, reduces power losses, and simplifies thermal requirements for high-power boost applications. The output voltage can be regulated to up to 60V with 0.2% resolution via a PMBus-compatible serial interface. The serial interface can also be used to read back fault status, input/output currents, input/output voltages and temperature. System configuration and monitoring is supported by the LTpowerPlay® development system.
