Product Description

The R5F566TEEGFP 32-bit MCU is the first in Renesas' flagship 32-bit RX MCU family based on the third-generation RXv3 CPU core. Optimised for motor control, these MCUs meet real-time performance and enhanced stability requirements. These features help enable inverter control in next-generation smart factory equipment and smart appliances. These MCUs also have the additional processing power required for embedded AI in next-generation designs. The RX66T MCU series helps further accelerate the use of smart devices, drive smart appliances, and improve productivity in smart factories through real-time e-AI performance.


Features

● Inverter-controlled, 160MHz maximum operating frequency with 928 CoreMark, on-chip floating-point unit (FPU), and 2.7V to 5.5V power supplies

● High-speed flash memory with 120MHz maximum read operation reduces CPU speed differentials for high performance and consistent execution

● Reduced footprint and component count by generating three-phase complementary pulse width modulation (PWM) outputs for up to four motors using 112-pin and 144-pin package MCUs, and up to three motors using 64-pin, 80-pin and 100-pin package MCUs

● Configurable 16KB error-correcting code (ECC) SRAM and up to 128KB SRAM with single-cycle access and single-bit error detection (parity) for high reliability

● Ability to generate high-resolution PWM signals with a minimum state change duration of 195 picoseconds (1.6 times better than existing RX products) for power regulator or digital power control applications

● Trusted Security IP (TSIP) provides secure firmware updates and encrypted communications through CAVP certified trace logs.
