The MAX25201ATEC/VY are high-performance current-mode PWM controllers with a shutdown current of 1.5μA (typical) for wide input voltage range boost converters. Their 4.5V to 36V input operating voltage range makes these devices ideal for automotive applications such as front-end pre-boost or general-purpose boost supplies. First boost stage in high power LED lighting applications, or to generate audio amplifier voltages. An internal low dropout voltage regulator with an internal output voltage of 5V allows the MAX25201ATEC/VY to operate directly from an automotive battery input. After startup, the input operating range can be extended to as low as 1.8V.
