The LT3088EST is an 800mA low dropout linear regulator designed for rugged industrial applications. A key feature of this IC is the extended safe operating area (SOA). The ICs can be connected in parallel for higher output current or thermal expansion. The device can withstand reverse input and reverse output to input reverse voltages without generating reverse current. The precision 50µA reference current source requires only one resistor to program the output voltage to any level from zero to 34.5V. The current reference architecture makes load regulation independent of output voltage.
