The MKW35A512VFT4 KW35 is a series of ultra-low power, highly integrated single-chip products supporting BLE Generation 5 and Universal FSK (at 250, 500kbps and 1000 kbps) connectivity for automotive, industrial and medical embedded systems. Flash memory and up to 64 KB of SRAM, BLE and Universal FSK hardware link layers and peripherals optimised to meet the needs of the target application. KW35 supports up to 8 concurrent BLE connections, either as host, slave or any other combination.
The KW35Z includes an integrated FlexCAN module that can be seamlessly integrated into an automotive or industrial CAN communication network to communicate with external control and sensor monitoring devices via BLE. the FlexCAN module supports the CAN Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD) protocol with higher bandwidth and lower latency.
The KW35 device can be used as a "black box" modem to add BLE or universal FSK connectivity to an existing host MCU or MPU, or as a standalone smart wireless sensor for use with embedded applications without the need for a host controller.
The Kinetis KW35A MCU uses the AEC Q100 standard Class 2 temperature range, while the KW35Z uses the industry standard.
