The LAN8830/PSA Gigabit Ethernet Transceiver with RGMII is an integrated three-speed (10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T) Ethernet physical layer transceiver designed for transmitting and receiving data over standard CAT-5, CAT-5e, and CAT6 unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cables. The LAN8830/PSA features an RGMII (lite mil Gigabit Media Independent Interface Enzyme) for connection to an embryo switch ethernet microcontroller, embryo microprocessor, or embryo.

In addition, an embedded virtual machine ethernet media access controller (MAC) with RGMIII copy interface is provided for 1000Mbps or 10/100Mbps data transmission.The LAN8830/PSA transceiver reduces board cost and simplifies board layout by using on-chip termination resistors for the four differential pairs.
