The LTC2955IDDB-1 is a micropower pushbutton on/off controller that manages the system power supply by generating a clean enable output from the power monitor input and the anti-reverse button input. The device has an interrupt output that is responsible for informing the system in the event of a pushbutton trigger or low supply voltage condition. When the system is in the ready state, it can use the power-down input to shut down the power supply. If the button is held depressed for longer than the configurable shutdown period, the system power will be forced off.

The power input covers a wide range of 1.5V to 36V. The robust pushbutton inputs can handle a wide voltage swing of ±36V and ESD shocks up to ±25kV (human body model) without lockout or damage, and the low supply current of 1.2μA extends battery life to a large extent. The device is available in separate versions for positive or negative enable polarity.
