The MAX20408AFOC/VY are automotive high-integrity synchronous buck converters with internal high-side and low-side switches. These ICs have input voltages from 3.0V to 36V and output currents up to 8A/10A with input voltages from 3.0V to 36V. Voltage quality can be monitored via the PGOOD signal. the MAX20408AFOC/VY can operate in differential mode with a duty cycle of 99%, making them well suited for automotive and industrial applications. the MAX20408AFOC/VY is available with programmable or fixed output voltage options. fixed output voltage options. High switching frequency options of 2.1MHz and 400kHz allow the use of smaller external components, reduce output ripple, and ensure no AM interference. SYNC input programmability enables three forced PWM modes, frequency hopping modes with ultra-low quiescent currents, and synchronisation with an external clock. The spread spectrum option minimises EMI emissions.
