TX08DACP 8-channel ultrasonic transmitter

Features:

• 8-channel transmitter, each channel includes:

- Five-stage pulse generator with on-chip beamforming function

- Active T/R switch

- Integrated floating power supply

• Five-stage pulse generator support:

- Maximum output voltage: ±100V

- Minimum output voltage: ±1V

- Maximum output current: 2A

- Supports 4A output current mode

- Truly zero to discharge to the ground

- The second harmonic is -45 DBC at 5MHz frequency

- 3dB bandwidth and 220Ω || 240pF load

• -20MHz (for ±100V power supply)

• 35MHz (4A current for ±100V supply)

- Integrated jitter: 100fs (100Hz to 20kHz)

- CW mode near phase noise: -154DBC /Hz (for 5MHz signal, 1kHz offset)

• Active T/R switches with:

- On-resistance: 8 ohms

- On-off time: 300ns

- Channel based T/R switch control

• On-chip beamforming devices for pulse generators are:

- Channel based T/R switch control

- Delay resolution: half a beamforming clock cycle, not less than 1.56ns

- Maximum delay: 214 beamforming clock cycles

- 960 x 32-bit memory per channel for storing waveform and delay values.

• High speed (maximum 400MHz) dual channel LVDS serial programming interface

- Low programming time: < 500ns (for delay distribution updates)

- 32-bit checksum function detects incorrect SPI writes

• Internal temperature sensor and automatic thermal shutdown

• No specific power timing required

• Error flag register, used to detect multiple fault conditions
