Product Description:

The STGAP2SICSN single-gate driver provides current isolation between the gate drive channel, the low-voltage control and the interface circuit. With 4A capability and rail-to-rail output, the STGAP2SICSN is suitable for medium and high power applications such as power conversion and motor drive inverters in industrial applications. The gate driver is available in two different configurations.


The STGAP2SICSN 4A single-channel gate driver is available in two different configurations. The first configuration provides separate output pins, allowing independent on-off and off-off optimization using dedicated gate resistors. The second configuration has a single output pin and Miller clamp function to prevent gate spikes during rapid commutation in half-bridge topology. Both formats provide greater flexibility and less bill of material for external components.


The STGAP2SICSN integrates protection functions, including UVLO and thermal shutoff for SiC MOSFET-optimized values, enabling efficient design of highly reliable systems. By selecting the control signal polarity with two input pins, hardware interlock protection can be implemented to avoid cross conduction in case of controller failure. Input-output propagation delay results are contained within 75ns, providing high PWM control accuracy. Standby mode is available to reduce idle power consumption.
