The SC20 is a series of multi-network Smart LTE Cat 4 modules from Quectel, powered by the Android operating system. The SC20 series module consists of seven versions: SC20-CE, SC20-E, SC20-A, SC20-AU, SC20-J, SC20-CN and SC20-W (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth only).

The SC20 series supports LTE FDD up to 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink data transmission, and is backward compatible with EDGE and GSM/ GPRS networks to ensure that it works in areas lacking 3G and 4G networks. It also supports IEEE 802.11a/b/ g/ n (SC20-CE/ -W supports IEEE 802.11b/g/ n by default) wireless transport protocol and BT4.1LE technology (Android 7.1 and later support BT4.2).

The module supports multiple-input multiple-output technology (MIMO), and multiple receiving antennas can be used at the receiving end to receive the signal through multiple antennas at the receiving end, thereby improving the downlink rate, reducing the bit error rate, and improving the communication quality. At the same time, SC20 series supports GPS + GLONASS + BDS multiple positioning systems, greatly improving the positioning speed and accuracy.

The SC20 series integrates feature-rich interfaces (such as LCM, camera, touch screen, microphone, speaker, UART, USB, I2C interface, etc.), which greatly expand its application in the M2M field. It can be widely used in MID, PND, POS, router, data card, vehicle terminal, smart phone, digital billboard, intelligent security and industrial PDA and other industries and equipment.
