Product description

When used in combination with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency, the ADF4371 enables a fractional N division or integer N division phase locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer. The microwave wideband VCO design allows for the generation of frequencies from 62.5 MHz to 32 GHz.

The ADF4371 has an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency range of 4000 MHz to 8000 MHz. In addition, the VCO frequency can be divided 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 or 64, so users can generate RF output frequencies as low as 62.5 MHz on the RF8. The frequency multiplier generates frequencies of 8 to 16 GHz on RF16. The quadrupler generates frequencies of 16 to 32 GHz on the RF32. RFAUX8 replicates the frequency range of RF8 or allows direct access to the VCO output. To suppress unwanted product of frequency doubling, provide a harmonic filter between the frequency multiplier and the RF16 and RF32 output stages.
