The MEC1701Q-C2-SZ is a high-performance embedded controller (EC) specifically designed for notebook computer keyboard control, system management, and low-power peripheral interfaces. This chip is manufactured by Microchip and features a 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 core, integrating keyboard matrix scanning, power management, GPIO expansion, and secure boot functionality. It is widely used in laptops, Ultrabooks, and industrial embedded systems.
