I. Overview

The OL2311AHN is a highly integrated single-chip receiver solution that is ideal for telemetry applications operating in ISM/SRD frequency bands. The device is suitable for use in battery-powered handheld devices and similar devices because of its small size, low power consumption and wide supply voltage range. The device uses a fully integrated programmable fractional n-division PLL (including loop filters) to control the local oscillator (LO), thus supporting multi-channel operation and frequency hopping schemes. This feature also allows programmable frequency steps that enable crystal (XTAL) drift compensation.


The device is based on a low IF direct conversion receiver architecture with on-chip IF filtering and programmable channel bandwidth. After filtering and amplifying, the digitization, demodulation and processing of the orthogonal signal are carried out in the digital domain.


Baseband processing of the received signal requires a demodulator, a data limiter, and clock recovery followed by a Manchester decoder. The automatic signal signature recognition device enables simple, fast and reliable data reception.


The device is controlled by a three-wire serial interface (SPI) with data input and output, data clock, and interface enable. The interface can be configured as a full SPI interface with separate data and clock pins. Other pins can be used to access the internal signal in real time.

An onboard signal signature recognition device with leading code pattern recognition

Configurable polling timer with 2% absolute accuracy

Level sensitive data limiter with self-adjusting threshold

Low power consumption (RX 16 mA) with ultra-low 0.5 μA standby current and configurable polling timer

Single lithium battery operation (2.1V). Fully supports operations up to 3.6V

32 pin HVQFN32 Lead-free
