Device description:
The TPS25810TWRVCRQ1 is a USB Type-C Downlink Data port (DFP) controller that integrates a USB power switch rated at 3A current. The TPS25810-Q1 device monitors the Type-C Configuration channel (CC) line to determine when a USB device is connected to it. If connected to an uplink data port (UFP) device, the TPS25810-Q1 can apply power to the VBUS and transfer the optional VBUS pull current capability to the UFP over a CC line. If the UFP is connected using an electrically marked cable, the TPS25810‑Q1 device can also apply a VCONN power supply to the CC pin of the cable. The TPS25810-Q1 device also recognizes when a Type-C audio or debug attachment is connected.
The TPS25810-Q1 34mΩ power switch is available in two fixed current limits corresponding to Type-C current levels. The FAULT output signals when the switch is in overcurrent and overheat conditions. The LD_DET output controls the power management of multiple high-current Type-C ports in environments where all ports cannot provide high current (3A) at the same time.
