1. Overview
The ILD8150E DC/DC LED driver integrated circuit supports 1500mA of current, making it ideal for high power and ultra high power leds in general lighting applications. The series supports step-down topology. The ILD8150E is a feature-rich DC-DC LED driver integrated circuit with 80V breakdown voltage and advanced thermal protection features. Efficiency up to 98% in a wide range of operating conditions. For most buck LED drivers, the user has a choice of dimming schemes: PWM or analog voltage. Integrated intelligent thermal protection, as well as overvoltage and overcurrent protection features, for longer LED life.

• Over 95% efficiency value
• Maximum duty cycle up to 99%
• Switching frequency up to 2 MHz
• Soft start
• PWM dimming input with 250Hz to 20kHz PWM dimming frequency
• Analog dimming 100 to 12.5%
• Mixed dimming 12.5% to 0.5%, 3.4kHz flicker-free modulation
• DIM to OFF
• Adjustable maximum output current through shunt resistor
• Typical output current accuracy: 3%
• Overtemperature protection
• Pull down the transistor to avoid LED light when DIM-TO-OFF
• DSO-8 with bare pad has higher heat dissipation performance
