The MKL25Z64VLK4 is designed with efficiency in mind. Compatible with all other Kinetis L series as well as Kinetis K2x series. General-purpose MCU with USB 2.0 with market-leading ultra-low power consumption provides developers with the right entry-level 32-bit solution.

Ultra-low power consumption

Next-generation 32-bit Cortex-M0+ core: CoreMark/mA is 2x higher than the closest 8/16-bit architecture

Single-cycle fast I/O access ports for bit knocking and software protocol emulation, maintaining 8-bit look and feel

Multiple flexible low-power modes, including a new computer clock option that reduces dynamic power consumption by placing external settings in asynchronous stop mode

LPUART, SPI, I2C, FlexIO, ADC, DAC, LP timer and DMA support low-power mode operation without waking up the kernel

Memory

Up to 512KB Flash, up to 128KB SRAM

Security circuitry prevents unauthorised access to RAM and Flash contents

Up to 32KB of ROM and built-in bootloader simplify MCU programming and allow for easy flash upgrades

Performance

Cortex-M0+ core with 72MHz/96MHz core frequency over full voltage and temperature range (-40ºC to +105ºC)

Bit manipulation engine for improved bit processing in peripheral modules

Thumb instruction set combines high code density with 32-bit performance

Up to 8-channel DMA for peripheral and memory services reduces CPU load and increases system throughput

Independent clock COP prevents clock skew or code runaway for fail-safe applications
