The TCAN844VDRBRQ1 is a high-speed Controller Area Network (CAN) transceiver that complies with the physical layer requirements of the ISO 11898-2:2024 high-speed CAN specification.

The TCAN844VDRBRQ1 incorporates internal logic level conversion via the VIO pin, enabling direct connection of the transceiver I/O to 3.3V or 5V logic levels. The transceiver supports a low-power standby mode and can be awakened by a CAN bus signal compliant with the Wake-Up Pulse (WUP) requirements defined in ISO 11898-2:2024.

Additionally, the transceiver incorporates thermal shutdown (TSD), TXD dominant timeout (DTO), power supply under-voltage detection, and ±40V bus fault protection. These devices define fail-safe behaviour in the event of power supply under-voltage or floating pins.
