The TJA1462AT CAN Signal Improvement Capability (SIC) transceiver with standby mode is part of the TJA146x transceiver family, which implements the CAN SIC as defined in ISO 11898-2:2024, 3rd ed. The TJA1462AT complies with ISO 11898-2:2024 and the CAN physical layer defined in SAE J2284-(1-5). The TJA1462AT conforms to the CAN physical layer defined in ISO 11898-2:2024 and SAE J2284-(1-5) and is fully interoperable with high-speed classic CAN and CAN FD.
CAN signalling improvements significantly reduce signal ringing on the network, allowing CAN FD communications to operate reliably at 5 Mbit/s in larger topologies. In addition, the TJA1462AT features tighter bit timing symmetry, enabling CAN FD communication at speeds up to 8 Mbit/s.
